How to start investing?

Getting starting with investing yourself may seem a bit scary at first. But it is actually much simpler than you think. There are several things you need to focus on:

  1. Diversify your assets. You do not want to have only shares of the same company. You want to have shares of many companies.
  2. Reduce your costs. You do not want to have to pay a lot for your investing.
  3. Invest regularly. Ideally, you should invest on a monthly basis. The more regularly you invest, the better your long-term returns will be.

To start, I would recommend you to read this guide on designing an ETF portfolio. This is strong first step!

Recommendations

For our journey to Financial Independence, we are using many services. You can take a look at the services that I am recommending. I am only recommending services that I trust and that I used myself. For instance, I recommend a great free bank and an awesome broker.

Keep in mind that I may receive a referral fee if you signup with these services. This is helping to pay for the expenses of this blog.

Monthly updates

Our monthly updates. Since the beginning of this blog, I have kept track of our savings and expenses month by month. Each month, I am presenting our savings rate, our income, and our net worth update. You can also find information about how my yearly goals are going.

Archives

If you did not get enough, you can also go through the entire Archives of the blog. This lists all the articles that were ever written on this blog. Some of the early articles may not be of the best quality. You should probably start with the latest and go back to the earliest articles.
