In these inflationary times, cashback is always welcome. And today, I review a service that offers cashback on many online services.
Rabattcorner is a Swiss online service that offers special cashback rates on many online platforms. This is not a fixed cashback like a credit card, but instead a set of offers that vary for each service. But everything can be made easier if you use the browser extension.
In this article, I review Rabattcorner in detail, including its advantages and disadvantages. By the end of the article, you will know whether you should use Rabattcorner or not.
Rabattcorner
Rabattcorner is a platform that helps Swiss customers get cashback on many websites.

Rabattcorner is a Swiss cashback platform, based in Zurich. The company was created in 2016 by two young Swiss entrepreneurs. The company is granting users cashback for shopping with their online partners.
Since their creation, they have been growing quite fast. As of 2025, they have more than 120’000 users in Switzerland. And they have paid off over four million CHF in cashback to their users.
I have not used this application much because I use relatively few online shops and not all of them are available. However, many of my readers have mentioned this app. And since it can help bring some cashback, it can be helpful for people that primarily do online shopping.
Cashback details

Each partner has different conditions for cashback. It is important to read the conditions on each to make sure you fulfill them to get cashback. The cashback will be credited directly to Rabattcorner by the partner, and then they will deliver your cashback to your account.
Once your balance reaches 20 CHF, you can withdraw money to your bank account or PayPal account.
The time it takes the cashback to be credited varies also per partner. For an online purchase, you can expect a relatively quick turnaround. But for hotels or flights, it is often credited only after the stay. So, there may be months before you get your cashback.
Rabattcorner Cashback examples

As I write this article, there are 790 partners on Rabattcorner. And the cashback and offers can change every day. I will give a few examples, but these examples will likely have changed by the time you read this article.
- You can get 4% cashback on hotels booked from hotels.com
- This was a special offer, instead of 2%
- You can get 1% cashback on flights from the Swiss website
- You can get 2% cashback on the LEGO website
- You can get 2% cashback on Logitech
- At AliExpress, you can get 1% on electronics, 5% on clothes and 3% on other categories
These are only a few examples, the list of partners is very long, and I do not know even 10% of them. But there is likely some shops for everyone.
How can you get cashback on your purchases?
First, you will need a Rabattcorner account for your online shopping. You can create one with a few clicks online.
Once you have an account, you are ready to profit from the cashback. To earn cashback, you must use a link coming from Rabattcorner. The first option is to go on their website, find the partner and get redirected to the partner website. This works well, but this can be cumbersome, and it is easy to forget a website and miss on cashback. Fortunately, there are some better solutions.
If you are a desktop user, you can install an extension on your browser. This extension will notify you when you are on a website partner of Rabattcorner. And it will give you direct access to enabling Rabattcorner on that website so that you can earn cashback with your purchases.
If you are a mobile user, you can use the mobile app instead. This is slightly different since they do not integrate directly into your browser. Instead, you should use the app as a repository. You start the app, choose a place where you want to shop, and your affiliate link will be registered.
As a desktop user myself, I feel like the browser extension is really the way to go. It is easy to use and will help you never miss any cashback or coupon. And if you are worried about your online security and want to avoid extensions, you can always use the website first to enable your link. I am happy that Rabattcorner does not force users to use an app or browser extension for the features.
How does Rabattcorner make money?
Of course, money is not free and Rabattcorner is not simply giving money away to encourage online shopping.
Rabattcorner earns money through affiliate marketing. They act as the referral for each platform, and then they get a percentage of money. They then share a part of this income with their users and that is how users can get cashback.
This is a relatively simple business model where both Rabattcorner and their users profit from the significant commissions offered by some online shops.
Price first – Cashback second
Getting some cashback on purchases is great. However, people should not be blinded by cashback. Just because there is some cashback does not mean there is no better alternative even without cashback. Plenty of good services and websites offer cashback. But there are also some websites who do not need it and prefer great prices and great reputation being enough for them.
So, just because you can get a higher cashback on a website does not mean you should not look elsewhere.
For me, one example is Galaxus. Galaxus is not present on Rabattcorner. While they do not always have the best prices, they often have good prices and on average are great. It is also very convenient (not necessarily efficient) to be able to find almost everything at the same place. Another website that is generally considered cheap is Zalando. But it is not present either, although the Lounge part of Zalando is present.
We can take a concrete example. In March, I bought the Barad-dûr LEGO from Galaxus. On May 1st, this set is available at 423 CHF on Galaxus and at 489 CHF on the LEGO website. The 2% cashback from LEGO would give a net price of 479.22 CHF using Rabattcorner. That would still be 56.22 CHF pricier than buying directly on Galaxus.
I am not saying that the cashback by Rabattcorner is not offered on good services. There are many good services present on Rabattcorner, but they are not all there, and occasionally the best will not have cashback.
So, if you want to save money, it is better to chase price first and then cashback second.
User Reviews
Finally, we should also look at what users say about Rabattcorner.
On Google, they have 172 reviews, with an average 4.6 rating out of 5. This is an excellent result. People are really happy about the simplicity of the system and the cashback they can get. The few negative reviews mention that sometimes, the transactions are not registered.
On TrustPilot, they only got 27 reviews, for an average 3.4 rating (out of 5). This is a decent result, but worse than on Google. The positive reviews are very similar to those on Google. And the negative ones are all about some transactions not being counted. It also seems there are more issues now than before.
The only negative reviews overall is that some transactions do not always work. I am not surprised since Rabattcorner has to work with about 800 partners and with customers using different platforms. On average, it seems to work great.
Overall, users seem to be happy with Rabattcorner. There are some issues with some transactions, but they can generally be resolved by the customer service. And occasionally, they can also come from a customer error. Therefore, you should be careful about following, but you should expect a few bumps on the road.
FAQ
Is Rabattcorner legit?
Yes. Rabattcorner exists since 2016 and has been distributing cashback for many years now. They rely on affiliate marketing and share the commissions with their users.
Should you use Rabattcorner on every purchase?
Not necessarily. There are often some alternatives where you could get cheaper prices than on Rabattcorner. So, we should not forget about comparing simply for the sake of getting cashback.

Conclusion
Rabattcorner is a platform that helps Swiss customers get cashback on many websites.

If you are often shopping online, Rabattcorner can be a good tool to get some cashback and recoup some of your expenses. This service can give you cashback on many online websites and sometimes even special offers.
That being said, you need to be careful not to be blinded by cashback. We should look first for the best price (or close to) before looking for cashback. But then, if the best is also giving you cashback, it is all a bonus. Furthermore, some people have their favorite websites where they order without necessarily having the best price. In this case, some cashback is also great.
If you are interested in cashback, you will probably be interested in getting some cashback from your credit card. It is worth noting that you can combine the cashback from your credit card and the one from Rabattcorner.
What about you? What do you think about Rabattcorner?

Can it work for someone who is based outside of Switzerland (at least for now) with a foreign credit card and foreign address? I suppose that delivery outside of CH might be a problem but services like hotel bookings might be doable….
Hi Max
Good question. I have read the conditions from their website, and they do not seem to require that the user is a Swiss resident. Some of the deals may be limited to Swiss residents though, but you would have to check them all.
On the other hand, they mention that payment can only be done on a Swiss bank account, so this may be an issue for many non-residents.
I follow Preis Pirate. It is a nice community of people who like to share awesome deals, offers or workarounds to get products for a discount.
Thanks for sharing, George. I have heard about it but never tried it. I am glad you can find some good deals. I will try to keep an eye on it.
It’s funny that you start the article with “in these inflationary times” now that inflation is actually negative in Switzerland again.
Haha, you are right, my timing is bad! For my defense, when I wrote this article a few weeks back, inflation was still positive.
On the other hand, if you ask people if life is becoming more expensive, I am pretty sure we would get a definite yes.
I always check TopPreise before buying anything online. Quite often, you can get the same thing for 20-40.- CHF cheaper!

Hi Romain,
Yes, this is a good strategy. These days, I am too lazy to do that and don’t want accounts everywhere, but this is definitely a great way to save money!
I’m surprised Mr Poor Swiss doesn’t do that.
It’s literally the lowest hanging fruit :D
Hi Marco
You are right, but there comes a point where you have to balance time and money. And since I know that average prices are good on Galaxus, I rarely go elsewhere to save time. It’s not optimal, and I know that this should not be the default, but I would rather not complicate my life or save time. It’s a conscious decision to save time.
