While I really like Switzerland and I plan, and hope, to spend all my life here, there are some things I really do not like about it. In this post, I am going to discuss the five things I hate about Switzerland.
I am not about to leave Switzerland and I hope I will never have to. There will be a post coming up about the things I love about Switzerland and they will be more numerous ;) But I think it is important to realize that no country is perfect. Some things should definitely be improved in Switzerland.
Of course, these things will probably be different from one person to another. I know that there are some things in the list that some people like. Please tell me what you do not like about Switzerland in the comment!

I have had Migros MBudget mobile plan for about a year now. And I have just seen that Migros started a very nice offer on their MBudget Mini and MBudget Maxi mobile plan. You can now get twice more mobile data each month for free. I think it is a great offer. So I wanted to share this offer with you! I hope many of you can profit from this awesome offer!
From July 1st to August 31st, you get twice more data for one year. For the same price! This is also working for current customers! My monthly data allowance just got doubled from 600Mo to 1.2Go :)

Fewer things happened in June 2018 than the crazy previous month!
Although it is a good month for savings, it is not as good as I planned. This month is the first month I received my new salary :) But it was a very expensive month :( We had to pay many insurance fees. And several other relatively big expenses. But it is still not too bad :)
Read on if you want to know what happened to use in June 2018!

Yes, yet another post about credit card :) This one is going to be about the Revolut credit card.
Three weeks ago, I tried to find the best credit card in Switzerland. And last week, I studied another credit card, the TCS Travel Mastercard Gold, with 1% cash back. At this point, I found out that foreign exchange fees were costing me more than the annual fee on the card.
In my first review of my options for Switzerland, I already took a look at Revolut. They offer prepaid credit cards with free foreign exchange transactions! I didn’t want to consider it because there were a few problems. In this post, I’m going to come back to these problems. I finally decided to order a Revolut credit card! And I found out a process to top up a Revolut card for free in Switzerland!

After all the problems I had with Bluehost, I decided to migrate my blog from Bluehost to SiteGround. I still have some months of hosting at Bluehost. But I do not want to deal with them anymore. I am sure they capable of messing up again during that time. Thus, I decided to do the transfer as soon as possible. As you read this post now, the website is now hosted at SiteGround.
It took me a bit longer than I thought for the transfer. And I did not have as much time as I needed. So I am a bit late on my blogging schedule. In this post, I am going to show how I did the transfer to SiteGround. I hope this will help realize that it is quite easy to do the transfer. And I hope I can convince you that Bluehost is not a good host.

A few weeks ago, I compared the credit cards in Switzerland. I came to the conclusion that for me, the best credit card would be to use Cumulus Mastercard. Since then, I ordered the card, but I haven’t received it yet. I’m also waiting on Revolut to finally get a Swiss IBAN so that I can top it up for free.
However, there is a card I haven’t considered in my first comparison. The Touring Club Suisse (TCS) is offering two credit cards for its members. The first one is the TCS Member MasterCard. This is not really interesting since it does not have any cashback, but it’s free. What is more interesting is the TCS Travel MasterCard Gold. This card will cost you 100 CHF per year, although it’s free on its first year. But they will give you 1% cashback. In this post, I’m going to look at this card in details.

As you may have seen, my blogs was pretty much not working between last Thursday and Saturday. I had many issues with Bluehost and it took them an unreasonable amount of time to fix the issue. I already had issues before and this last one was a really bad outage. So, I decided I will never trust them again. Since I don’t trust them as hosting provider, I’m not going to recommend them anymore.
I’ve only started using Bluehost a few months ago. But I have had several issues in these months. And these last issues with the website being down for more than a day. They are really doing a bad job… I plan to migrate to another hosting provider soon. In this post, you’ll find the story behind this!
I’m going to start with a question: How many Bluehost support guys do you need to fix a SSL certificate ? You’ll find the answer below ;)

A lot of things happened in May 2018! The most important event of this month is of course that we got married! We had a nice and simple wedding with close family and friends.
And as you will see, we have reached the 100K CHF milestone in our net worth! This is the first time :) We can now hope that we will stay at this level for some time!
Even considering the wedding expenses, this month has some good savings rate. This is mostly due to the extensive gifts we received. This month is the month with my largest income yet. We should have been able to turn it down. Let’s hope we can keep expenses to a low next month.

This month I had to use my credit card a lot. We paid for our honeymoon in full in advance. I also had to advance money to my company for a trip that they will reimburse later. Also, we purchased many things online. Finally, we pay all our groceries with credit card. To make sure I could pay for our wedding lunch, I even had to increase my limit to 5000 CHF.
Once I realized how much I was using this credit card, I started to wonder if my card was the best available for me. Also, I read a lot of stories of people getting a lot of flights and hotels for free using credit cards. I wanted to know if this was possible for me too. Let’s explore the different options that are available in Switzerland.
